It was just not the right time to meet him, so they needed to cut that scene.  Olivia: I ran into a guy from high school this morning. You should have seen the look in his eyes when I told him what I did.PETER: Like chicks with guns turned him on?OLIVIA: More like I was a freak. Like I had suddenly grown a third eye. (chuckles) You ever get the feeling that doing this job just makes you less and less normal?PETER: Absolutely.
